CATHERINE ROTH grew up on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  She feels incredibly lucky to have had access to excellent ballet training under Heidi Wright and Sonja Dickerson-Faust at the only ballet-focused dance school on St. Croix, Pointe Dance Academy.  If not for Pointe Dance Academy, it is unlikely Catherine would have gone on to explore dance as a career and this personal experience continues to inspire her to facilitate access to quality dance programming and education. She earned her B.F.A in Ballet Performance from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and performed a wide range of repertory, including pieces by Twyla Tharp, Christine Cox, and Brian Sanders.  She has spent time performing in New York City, as well as teaching and choreographing in St. Croix. In 2012 Catherine moved to Maryland and joined MOVEIUS Contemporary Ballet, where she had the opportunity to premiere many original works including pieces by Emery LeCrone, Michael Smith, and Olivia Sabee. Catherine has also been a member of Ballet ADI, Bowen McCauley Dance, and Metropolitan Ballet Theatre Ensemble.
